The Saudis are on the verge of recognizing Israel through a full deal for Palestine

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said today that Riyadh could recognize Israel if a comprehensive deal including statehood for the Palestinians is reached. This information was published in the World Economic Forum.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan said, "We agree that regional peace includes peace for Israel. But this can only happen through peace for the Palestinians through a Palestinian state."

"Absolutely," said Prince Faisal, at the height of Saudi Arabia's recognition of Israel at the time as part of a larger political deal. Besides, he said, "We are really working with the US administration to ensure regional peace through the creation of a Palestinian state, and this is even more relevant in the context of Gaza."
