Israeli Forces Release Palestinian Detainees in Freezing Conditions
In a shocking incident, Israeli forces have reportedly stripped Palestinian men of all clothing, leaving them with only a diaper, in undisclosed locations in Gaza. This information was disclosed by a United Nations Human Rights Office official on Friday.
At the end of an investigative trip to Gaza, Aziz Sangh, in a report, revealed that Israeli forces are holding a group of Palestinian men in an unknown location in Gaza, subjecting them to physical abuse. Many of them have been held captive for 30 to 55 days. Aziz Sangh interviewed some of the released detainees in Gaza, who confirmed that they were only provided with a diaper in extremely cold weather conditions.
He stated, "Several of those released later revealed that they were left with only a diaper in the freezing weather, without sufficient clothing. The reasons behind them being given diapers are unclear," added Sangh. "They were visibly shocked, and even when I encountered them, they were trembling."
Since the onset of the conflict, several videos released by the Israeli military show hundreds of Palestinian men being seated in freezing conditions, exposed to the open sky. At times, their eyes are covered, and in some videos, women and children are also seen among the detainees.
The international community is closely monitoring the situation, calling for an immediate investigation into the reported human rights violations by Israeli forces.
