The health department of Tennessee has confirmed the deaths of 14 people so far.

Officials in Oregon reported that on Wednesday, during the snowstorm, three people were electrocuted in a parked car in Portland. A child was later rescued. In Kentucky, five people died due to adverse weather conditions.

The tracking website Power Outages US reported that by Friday evening, 75,000 customers in Oregon were without power due to the snowstorm. Following this, the state's governor declared a state of emergency.

On Wednesday, police in Pennsylvania reported that five women in New York had died.

Deaths have also been reported in Illinois, Kansas, New Hampshire, New York, Wisconsin, and Washington state.

Weather officials in western New York have reported that nearly 75 inches (1.9 meters) of snow has fallen in Buffalo over a span of five days this week.
